Bliss, Superfine, Into the Mystic and Merry Mac take final wins of 2022/23 Income Asset Management Wednesday Twilight Series

The 2022/23 Income Asset Management Wednesday Twilight Series concluded with Race 19 on Wednesday 20 March.

Bliss (Eric Frank), Superfine (George Waldthausen), Into the Mystic (Arthur Psaltis) and Merry Mac (David McClean) claimed the divisional wins.

A strong fleet of 62 boats enjoyed a final race of the season in 9-12 knots of breeze (NNE) on Sydney Harbour, with the course shortened from the start.

After finishing second and third in the previous two races, Eric Frank’s Grand Soleil 44 Bliss won Division A. Bliss was a regular feature on podiums in both the Monday and Wednesday Twilights this Summer.

Robert Speedy steered the Making Waves Foundation’s Lyons 54, Kayle, to second place in the division, while Alan and Tom Quick’s Farr 40 Outlaw was third.

George Waldthausen’s Cavalier 350SL Superfine topped the Division B podium for the second time this series. Matt Wilkinson steered Foreign Affair to second place, with family on board, and the Northshore 369 Trim (Scott Turner) was third.

Arthur Psaltis’ Hanse 430E Into the Mystic won Division C for the third consecutive week. Jerry Meades’ Beneteau Oceanis 411 Belle Epoque was second, ahead of third-placed Boomerang (Lee Hawksley).

David McClean’s Clansman Merry Mac scooped Division D honours, joined on the podium by Libertine (Philippe Maes) and Astraea (Oliver Slobodetsky).
