To maintain the successful running of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, there are many individuals and volunteers who work tirelessly as part of the Board and Committees overseeing different aspects of Club live.
In conjunction with the Board and Committees, the Clubs By-Laws and Constitution are set to outline the rules and regulation which the Club, Members and Employees must follow.
Notice of Annual General Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the 75th Annual General Meeting of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia will be held at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, 1 New Beach Road, Darling Point NSW 2027 on Tuesday 9 July 2019 at 6:30pm.
- To confirm the minutes of the Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday 17 July 2018.
- Commodore’s Report.
- Treasurer’s Report.
- To receive and consider the Directors’ report, Financial report and Auditor’s report for the year ended 31 March 2019.
- Life Membership.
Nomination for Life Membership for Mr Peter Shipway.
- General Business.
Presentation of 50 Year Members Badges.
- To elect a Director in each of the following offices:

Invitation to Nominate
Any two Voting Members whose annual subscriptions have been paid and who are not more than two months in arrears with any other monies due to the Club may, with the consent of their nominee, nominate another Voting member as a candidate for election to office for the ensuing year provided the nominated member is a member of twelve (12) months standing as at 9 July 2019. A Voting Member is a Full Member, a Life Member or a Country Member. Only a Voting Member is eligible to be elected or appointed to office as a Director or Flag Officer.
The Constitution requires the Commodore, Vice-Commodore and at least one Rear-Commodore to be elected, each being the yacht owning member of a monohull sailing yacht, as referred to in Clause 1.5 definitions of the Constitution, and on the Club’s Yacht Register. The Constitution also provides that not less than one half of the Directors or, if their number is not a multiple of two, the number nearest to but not less than one half, are Yacht Owning members.
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CLAUSE 6.4 OF THE CONSTITUTION NOMINATIONS MUST BE LODGED WITH THE OFFICE OF THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE BEFORE 6.30PM ON TUESDAY 25 JUNE 2019.
