The CYCA Youth Sailing Academy School Holiday Course provides an ideal introduction to keel-boat sailing for sailors aged 13-18 whose sailing experiences range from very limited to reasonably competent. Conducted four times a year during school term breaks, each course is four days in length and uses the CYCA Youth Sailing Academy’s fleet of Elliott 7m keel-boats, crewed by 5 sailors with an on-board instructor.

Members: Full Members of the CYCA will receive a 10% discount off the course fee.
SailPass at CYCA
SailPass is a way for people who aren’t already a Member of a sailing club to be eligible to sail in CYCA races in accordance with Rule 46 of the 2021-24 Racing Rules of Sailing. SailPass offers a flexible, accessible and affordable introduction to sailing for people new to the sport and, importantly for SailPass holders and boat-owners alike, provides personal injury insurance cover through Australian Sailing.
SailPass will be available at the CYCA at no charge. All sailors must either be a member of a yacht club or have a SailPass.
Through a New South Wales Government initiative, the CYCA Youth Sailing Academy has been approved as an Active Kids Program provider which allows parents to claim and redeem a $50.00 Active Kids voucher per school enrolled child to cover registration of a CYCA Youth Sailing Academy course.
Sun Foundation Scholarships: Through the generously of a CYCA Club member, sailors at participating dinghy Club’s across New South Wales, may be eligible for a Sun Foundation Scholarship, which is for a 50% discount on a School Holiday Course. Please contact your local dinghy Club to inquire of the status of these scholarships.
