Papou Geli continues to lead the way in Division 2.

Victoire and Papou Geli extend Sharp EIT Monday Twilight Series leads

Victoire and Papou Geli extended their overall pointscore leads with divisional wins in Race 14 of the 2022/23 Sharp EIT Monday Twilight Series.

It was a glorious evening for sailing on Sydney Harbour, with 15-17 knots of breeze (NNE) sending the fleet of 26 boats around the course.

Darryl Hodgkinson’s Carkeek 40 Victoire was first over the line and took handicap honours in Division 1, ahead of Michael Smith’s Kernan 44 Tempo and Leslie Green’s MC38 Ginger.

Victoire regains top spot in the Division 1 overall pointscore, leading Sine Wave (Greg Mason) by six points with just two pointscore races remaining.

Ross Karp’s Beneteau First 25.7 Papou Geli continues to lead the way in Division 2, securing a sixth win from nine races.

Papou Geli beat Race 13 winner Gun Runner (Murray Stewart) to victory, while Daniel Vinkl’s Melges 24 Faradenza was third.

Papou Geli holds a 13-point lead in the overall pointscore, with Likalizard (Chris Warren) second and Sumatra (Shane Diethelm) third.

The final two pointscore races will be held on 27 February and 6 March, while the series will wrap up with two non-pointscore races.

Entries are open until midday on the day of each race.
