The WMRT Final 2022 was conducted from 13 – 18 December in Sydney, Australia, with Nick Egnot-Johnson (NZL) from KNOTS Racing crowed World Champions.
The event was co-hosted with the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA)
ABOUT
Ten teams, representing Australia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Italy, New Zealand and the United States of America competed for the title of Open Match Racing World Champions in 2022. The event was sailed in the CYCA’s fleet of Elliott 7m keelboats with crews of 4 or 5. Racing took place over 5 days with a single round robin stage followed by a repechage, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Final on Sunday 18 December.
