Hood Sailmaker is the longest standing supplier to our Youth Sailing Academy, having supplied every set of sails for the YSA’s fleets of Elliott 5.9s (1993 to 2002), Elliott 6s (2002 to 2013) and our current fleet of Elliott 7s (2013 to present).

Over the past 27 years, Hoods has supplied a jaw-dropping 473 sails to the Club, providing the best quality sails for our youth sailors.

Their dedicated service to the Youth Sailing Academy is second to none, with many overnight repairs undertaken throughout the years. Hood Sails were also selected as the ‘Official Sail Provider’ for the Invictus Games Sydney 2018, which featured 14 International teams in the Elliott 7m Sailing event. Hood Sailmakers staff are always on the ground at the CYCA supporting their clients with the same services that the youth academy requires to keep 10 Elliot 7 fleet in action.

Hood Sailmakers are heavily involved in many aspects of sailing at the CYCA on and off the water, with many long term Members using Hood Sailmakers to equip their yachts, such as Smuggler, Wild Thing, Never a dull moment, Vamp, Triton, Sydney, The Goat, Wilde Rush, SWD Wot Eva, Wax Lyrical, Eye Appeal, Sommerbreeze, Emily, and many more.
