The 2023/24 Club Marine Ocean Pointscore and Two-Handed Pointscore continued with Race 2 – the Botany Bay Race – on Saturday 7 October. With a steady 14-17 knots of breeze coming from the south and an outgoing tide, the fleet, led by Julian Farren-Price’s About Time, were out the Heads in under 30 minutes before beating down to Botany Bay just in time for it to swing into the north.

Foreign Affair, skippered by CYCA Member Matt Wilkinson claim the top spot in the Pointscore’s IRC Division behind casual entry Ausreo, with a corrected time of 04:28:48. Fellow Member Steve Watson’s Ragtime took PHS honours.

About Time, skippered by CYCA Member Julian Farren-Price, secured Line Honours victory after pulling away from the fleet at the start and finishing in a time of 3 hours, 41 minutes, 18.

Race 3 of the 2023-24 Club Marine Ocean Pointscore – the second Lion Island Race will start at 1000hrs on Saturday 21 October.
