For the third time in five years, Zen has won the IRC NSW champions, this time in “little Zen” the Farr 40.
As part of the lead up for this year’s Admiral’s Cup, Zen was bought out of spinnaker racing retirement to compete in the 2025 Sail Port Stephens regatta while the TP52 Zen awaits shipping to the UK.
The team led by tactician Chris Nicholson along with three teenagers including two CYCA YSA sailors, Joel Beashal (17), Banjo Nicholson (16) and Oliver Guanaria (15) doubled down on the IRC victory to also take out the ORC division.
Congratulations to Gordon, Port Stephens has become a happy hunting ground for Zen.
