Vale Robyn Morton

The CYCA mourns the passing of 30-Year Member, Robyn Morton.

Robyn joined the CYCA in December 1987 and dedicated more than two decades to the Club as a passionate volunteer.

She received the Alan Brown Memorial Plate in 2019 for her service to the Club and was also honoured for her significant contributions over 10 years as a Race Officer.

As Robyn told Offshore in 2018 (read the story on Page 15 here), she “came to sailing fairly late in life”, at the age of 37.

“I went out in a twilight race on a J/24 with a fellow I worked with,” she said, “and realised it’s what I’d been looking for all my life.”

CYCA Members are invited to celebrate Robyn’s life at 4pm on Sunday 24 July at RANSA, where she was made an Honorary Life Member in 2018.

Please RSVP to office@ransa.com.au if you would like to attend.
