Results – Double Handed Pointscore – Lion Island Race

The CYCA’s Double-Handed Pointscore series made its debut on Saturday, 14 September, with the Lion Island Race marking the first challenge of the season. This race kicked off the series designed for sailors seeking to build their two-handed racing skills, featuring a mix of shorter Category 4 races and longer offshore passage events.

In the race to Lion Island, Jupiter, skippered by Ian Smith, took the top spot, crossing the finish line with a corrected time of 7:24:26. Blue Planet, helmed by Chris O’Neill, finished close behind in second place with a time of 7:30:18, while Rum Rebellion secured third in 7:32:59. Crowded Haus completed the race in fourth position. Unfortunately, Gizmo, Min River, and Western Morning retired from the race.
