The Cruising Yacht Club of Australia’s SOLAS Big Boat Challenge, the annual maxi race on Sydney Harbour, is shaping up as one of the most colourful in the event’s 17 year history. A spectator vessel, MV Coast, is available for CYCA members and their guests to witness the one and only chance to see the line honours form guide for the 66th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race up close and personal.

This year’s race will start at 12.30pm on Tuesday 14 December off Steele Point at Nielsen Park and will take the fleet twice around Sydney Harbour, passing popular tourist destinations such as Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and Fort Denison before finishing in front of the Opera House.

Coast Harbour Cruises is offering members and their guests the chance to view the SOLAS Big Boat Challenge from aboard MV Coast. Tickets for the three-hour charter which will depart from the CYCA at 11.30am on Tuesday 14 December, are $35 per person for CYCA Members and $50 for non-members and this includes a welcome glass of champagne and snacks.
