On Thursday 1 May, over 40 new members together with their proposers and seconders were welcomed to the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia by Commodore Matt Allen, flag officers of the Club and management.

This evening is a bi-annual event which showcases the club’s facilities to new members and provides an opportunity for new members to interact with the Commodore and flag officers, be introduced to CYCA management and allows networking between members.

Guests were treated to delicious canapés from L’Eat with wines complementing the food.

A formal introduction to the Club was provided by Commodore Matt Allen who commented “I look forward to seeing you all around the Club and out on the water”. The Commodore’s comments were echoed by CEO Mark Woolf who introduced new members to the management team and staff members present . – Jennifer Crooks
