The Mount Gay Ocean Pointscore will commence on 28 Sept 2019. The series consists of 8 races (7 to count) including two trips to each of Lion Island, Botany Bay and Port Hacking races, Day One of the MHYC SSORC, and the longest race in the Ocean Pointscore, being the Sydney Newcastle Race.

A Spring Pointscore and an Autumn Pointscore will conducted within the Ocean Pointscore. The Spring Pointscore will comprise all races held prior to Christmas (5 races with the best 4 to count). The Autumn Pointscore will comprise all races held after Christmas (4 races with the best 3 to count).
