The Great Veterans Race is open to single hulled self-righting displacement boats only that have competed in a Sydney Hobart Yacht race or other “veteran” yachts invited by the organising authority.
There are two divisions being run in 2025. The ‘Classics’ division is open to boats launched prior to 1976 and the ‘Modern Classics’ division is open to yachts launched after 1975 but prior to 1996.
To be considered, entrants who have not participated in previous Great Veterans Races should make contact with the CYCA Sailing Office to note their interest.
After the event, presentation of the Windward Trophy and Vic Meyer Trophy along with prizes for placegetters will take place at the CYCA Clubhouse.
