The Double Handed Pointscore geared up for their fifth race in their Pointscore, racing to Botany Bay and back together with the wider Club Marine Pointscores and the 2025 Australia Day – City of Sydney Cup.
Seven double-handed competitors enjoyed fantastic racing conditions in light ESE wind conditions on flat seas. With the whole fleet enjoying the beautiful reaching conditions it was Rum Rebellion who was first to cross the line and ultimately also take the top in IRC and PHS.
Connelly agreed with the consensus of the other competitors: “It was a great day for sailing, the wind was light and stable and there was only a little bit of chop to deal with. We chose to run with the Code 0 at the start which put us in a great spot coming out the Heads. The sea was just beautiful and we are looking forward to finish the season strong with the Double Handed Coastal Rally from 14 to 16 February. It would be great to welcome a few new faces to the double-handed community!”
