With the running of the 2020 Annual General Meeting last night, the Flag Officers were elected unopposed with three new directors being welcomed to the Board.

Newly elected Commodore Noel Cornish thanked retiring Commodore Paul Billingham for his achievements and outstanding contribution over his two-year term as Commodore and 14 years of commitment on the CYCA Board. Along with this, Commodore Noel Cornish also commended Leander Klohs and Justin Atkinson for their contribution as Board Members with both not standing for re-election.

“Please take the opportunity to thank with me, Immediate Past Commodore Paul Billingham for his dedicated service to our Club. Paul has volunteered his time as a Director for 14 years. During that time there have been many significant enhancements and achievements such as the renovation of the Clubhouse and the fantastic celebrations of our 75th year,” said Cornish.

“Leander Klohs and Justin Atkinson have chosen to step down from the Board this year. On your behalf, I thank them for their solid contributions during their time as Directors.”

“A very warm welcome to new Directors Tom Barker, Peter Gothard and David Griffith AM. They each bring a wealth of skills and experience, both on and off the water, to Board deliberations.”

The newly appointed Board are eager to hit the ground running and continue the great work. They will be meeting this week for the first time to discuss current and future topics.
