With the second round robin completed on the third day of racing, positions for the semi final knock out rounds were established. Unfortunately for Tom Grimes and his CYCA team of James Hodgson, Louis Schofield, Max Paul and Ben Vercoe the last races of the round robin proved very challenging. They finished the round on six points, which combined with the points from Round 1 placed them in 5th place on 13 points, thus missing a spot in the knock out stages.

For the second CYCA entrant, Harry Price and the DownUnder Racing team of Taylor Balogh, George Anyon, Josh Wijohn and Connor Mashlan, they were able to come out of the round robin stages in first place tied with Nick Egnot-Johnson from the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron.

Price was then matched against Jelmar van Beek from the Netherlands in the first to two point semi-final round. In the first match, Price sailed away with a seemingly easy lead. The second match was the opposite with Van Beek in the leading position at the finish line. Having both semi finals at match point, the next race winner would take on Will Boulden and his team from Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club in the finals. In a very close match, Van Beek took the win which knocked Price and his team out of the finals, in to a match up against Egnot-Johnson.

The petite final was raced with Price and his team DownUnder Racing taking both matches against Egnot-Johnson. This result solidifying their place on the podium. The final series went on to have Jelmar van Beek taking the final series without a loss.
