YSA push hard in Perth

The Youth Sailing Academy (YSA) sailors are back in Perth, Western Australia this week for the annual Warren Jones Regatta hosted by Swan River Sailing.

This year sees two teams skippered by Harry Price and Tom Grimes make their way over to Perth to take on an international lineup including teams from Australia, New Zealand, France, Great Britan, Denmark, USA and Sweden.

Joining Harry Price on his Downunder Racing team will be Harry Hall, Taylor Balogh, Josh Wijohn, along with local sailor, Niall Morrow.

Tom Grimes will be competing with James Hodgson, Louis Schofield, Nick Rozenauers and Charlie Gundy. Grimes also competed in the Colin Mullins International Youth Regatta last week where he and his team were placed second, using it as a great opportunity to warm up before this weeks event.

The teams will race on the waterfront of downtown Perth with racing taking place throughout this week and the finals being undertaken Friday 31 January.

It was a strong opening day for the two YSA teams with Harry Price and his team taking all four wins for their day, whilst Tom Grimes secured three wins from his four races.

The teams will be heading back out on to the racecourse each afternoon with contestants competing in a round-robin, followed by knockout series.
