Trash and Treasure Wrap-Up

It was a beautiful day for the Trash and Treasure on the CYCA hardstand.

There was an amazing array of items on sale and many treasures found, including the 1959 Hobart winner Cheranas propeller, which I have been told will be engraved with the winning year and treasured in its new home.

Lots of people scooped up great deals on the SLAM wet weather gear and from Boat Crew Gear who had a variety of safety equipment on display and for sale at bargain prices.

The book stand was a hit, with many passers-by stopping for a browse and leaving with a book (or two).

The SOLAS Trusts raffle was well supported raising additional funds for the charity with Lynne Smith taking home first prize which was a hamper donated by Gourmet Life. Daniel Belcher also won, taking home a CYCA donated pop shirt and cap with Boat Crew Gear chipping in a sun-safe hat.

The biggest hit, however, was the PUPcakes – very popular with puppies, who were in abundance with their owners enjoying a Sunday stroll.

To all those who came along making the day a success; store holders, shoppers, browsers and workers, THANK YOU!
