It was a great informative evening with 40 odd members braving elements.

The evening started with a viewing of the 1962 to Sydney Hobart Race, the last in which Solo completed in and won on handicap.

This was followed by a wonderful presentation from Kevin Burke on his book Man of Iron Ship of Steel followed by Rob McAuley’s Voyage to the tip of the earth

All in all a wonderful evening enjoyed by all – John Keelty
