Victoire and Superfine victorious as Sharp EIT Monday Twilight Series returns for 2022

Darryl Hodgkinson’s Carkeek 40 Victoire and George Waldthausen’s Cavalier 350SL Superfine claimed the opening wins of 2022 in the Sharp EIT Monday Twilight Series.

18 boats were back in action as Club racing returned to the CYCA following a break over the busy Christmas period, with 8-10kts from the NNE for the race start.

Victoire was first across the line in Division 1 and took overall honours, ahead of Commodore Noel Cornish’s Farr 40 Indi and Mark Michalowsky’s Beneteau First 47.7 Carla M.

Vamp (skippered by Leander Klohs) was second over the line for fourth on handicap, while Phil Herscovics’ Sydney 38 Shine On – Team Callendina was fifth, followed by Greg Mason’s Davidson 37 Sine Wave (RPEYC) as the first points of the Summer Pointscore were earned.

Superfine – second in the Spring Pointscore – had a strong start to the Summer Pointscore with victory in Division 2, ahead of Kevin Whelan’s Beneteau 45F5 Reve and Robert Skol’s Scarlett O’Hara.

The Sharp EIT Monday Twilight Series returns on Monday 24 January.
