The Shag Islet Cruising Yacht Club (SICYC) has extended it’s annual Season of Sail to include a Sydney Rendezvous for the first time. The event is being hosted by Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club from 14 to 21 May.
All local “Vice Commodores” and friends are invited to come together to celebrate the camaraderie of SICYC, as well as hosting SICYC members sailing north during the cruising season.
Welcome Dinner
1900hrs Friday 14 May
The first event is a Welcome Dinner featuring guest speaker Ken Thackeray OAM (Vice Commodore and Founder of SICYC). Vice Commodores and other guests are welcome to join Happy Hour drinks from 1800hrs.
Tickets are $45 which includes a $15 donation to the official charity of the Shag Island Cruising Yacht Club – The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
Bobbin Head BBQ
Sunday 16 May
The Welcome Dinner will be followed by an estuary cruise from RPAYC to Bobbin Head in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and a BBQ at Bobbin Head.
As Bobbin Head is accessible by both boat and car those not planning to attend the cruise can still join in the BBQ festivities. Learn more about Bobbin Head picnic area here.
Pittwater Cruise
Sunday 16 to Friday 21 May
A Pittwater cruise will follow including Hallets Beach, the popular Patonga Pub lunch and Barefoot Bowling at Dangar Island.
