DENIS DOYLE, CRUISING: It was a great night at the Shipwright’s Arms Hotel “Shippies” in Hobart Thursday 7 February as part of the S2H19 Rendezvous Cruise for the MyState Australian Wooden Boat Festival and then on to cruise Tasmania.

Interest quickly grew from our initial information night in December as word of mouth swiftly spread between yachties. Fifty people from 25 boats were in attendance and a great camaraderie was forged between all participating.

Many boats are now cruising off down the D’Entrecasteaux Channel and onto the south-west coast, Port Davey and Macquarie Harbour, with a catch up at Kettering planned for a look in on some of the best prices for boat maintenance in Australia.
