CYCA Member Wendy Tuck and her Pacatack crew were among the winners in Race 3 of the 2021/22 Sydney Harbour Women’s Keelboat Series, hosted by the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron.
Four CYCA boats were among the fleet of 16 for the third of five races in the regatta.
Pacific Sailing School’s J/24 Pacatack, skippered by Tuck, was second overall behind another J/24, Kaotic (Catherine Thornton-Rife – MYC), and first in the Full Female Crew (Spinnaker) division.
Dinah Eagle was at the helm of CYCA Vice Commodore Arthur Lane’s Beneteau Oceanis 51.1, Wilde Rush, claiming fourth place overall and third in the Full Female Crew (Spinnaker) division.
Bridget Canham skippered the Payne 38 It Happens to fifth overall, with the mixed crew taking honours in the Female Skipper (Non-Spinnaker) division.
Meanwhile, Lisa Wilkinson steered Foreign Affair to 12th overall.
Kaotic leads the overall pointscore after three consecutive wins to start the series, while Pacatack sits second overall and shares the lead with Artemis in the Full Female Crew (Spinnaker) division.
Race 4 of the 2021/22 Sydney Harbour Women’s Keelboat Series will be hosted by the Royal Prince Edward Yacht Club on Sunday 27 February, before Manly Yacht Club hosts the finale on Sunday 27 March.
