Quiet Little Drink makes generous donation to CYCA Sailing Foundation

The CYCA Sailing Foundation has received an incredibly generous $25,000 donation from the Quiet Little Drink.

The Quiet Little Drink started at the Shipwrights Arms Hotel in Battery Point following the 1969 Sydney Hobart. It recognises sailors who have competed in their 25th Sydney Hobart Yacht Race and Youth Sailing Academy students who competed in their first Hobart.

Since then, the group has assisted many young sailors by providing financial support to undertake and prepare for ocean races, particularly the Rolex Sydney Hobart. The Quiet Little Drink also supports young sailors by providing equipment.

The $25,000 will go a long way to supporting the CYCA Sailing Foundation’s first project – the Elliott 7 Fleet Refurbishment and Sustainment Campaign.

The quote to refurbish the fleet is $50,000 and will support the boats predominantly used by the YSA to train and race.

Thank you to Life Member Tony Cable and the Quiet Little Drink for their incredible support of the CYCA Sailing Foundation and Youth Sailing Academy.
