The Ocean Action Pod exhibition was on display at Rushcutters Bay Park last Sunday 16 May.

The Pod features props and educational activities which focus on ocean sustainability.

With colourful and interactive exhibits, the Pod educates both adults and children about the damage plastic is doing to the ocean.

With support from Woollahra Municipal Council, the Ocean Action Pod was in the park from 1000-1500hrs.

Competitors in Race 4 of the Winter Series, and Members & guests around the Club on Sunday, stopped by to learn more about the work being done by the Pod team.

CYCA’s Sustainability Initiative focuses on reducing the environmental footprint of the Club’s organised sailing events, eliminating the usage of single-use plastic in events and at the Clubhouse, and gaining globally-recognised sustainability certifications.

The Seabins in the CYCA Marina are also having an incredible impact, collecting more than 3.4 tonnes of marine debris over the first six months since their inception.
