After the weekend filled with wild storms and varying conditions, Sydney weather settled down for the 25 Feb Monday Twilight.

Crews were greeted with clear skies and 5-10 knots from the east north east, which meant that teams sailed the easterly course between the start line in Rushcutters Bay, Shark Island and Point Piper. The start of the race was filled with excitement as many teams jostled for space right on the line as they counted down to the starting horn. With such a tightly bunched fleet, three boats were over the starting line as the race commenced, which forced them to return and restart before continuing the race without further incident or penalty.

Divisional winners included Michael Selby’s Cyrene 3 in PHS Div1, Pacific Sailing School’s Starpac in PHS Div2 and Bob Steel and Craig Neil’s Quest in IRC Div1.
