CYCA members Kevin and Diane Horne, together with fellow Member Wendy Tuck, have won the 2019 ARC+ in their Jeanneau 51 Wild Spirit. Joining the CYCA crew were Russell Finch, Kristian Schwennesen, William Stein Larsen and Roger Junet.

The ARC+ takes sailors over 3,000 nautical miles across the Atlantic from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria to St Lucia in the Caribbean via Mindelo, Cape Verde. Horne and his six-person crew placed second in the first leg and achieved a first place win in the longer leg from Cape Verde to St Lucia, giving Wild Spirit the overall win.

The Horne’s plan to enjoy the Caribbean for the next 12 months before heading west to Australia.
