The annual Ladies’ Night, hosted by the Associates Committee made a welcome return to the Club on Friday 28 May.
After a break in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was plenty of excitement about the 2021 event, which was enjoyed by more than 70 attendees.
Fiona Marr, a member of the Associates Committee, provided a summary of the night:
“The night kicked off with a welcome from Commodore Noel Cornish AM and an introduction from the Associates Committee President Margaret Keelty.
“Guests were treated to Rose drink specials, delicious canapes and pink cocktails.
“We were entertained by six of our Youth Sailing Academy members, who provided a fun-filled fashion parade, showcasing our CYCA branded merchandise.
“Youth Sailing Academy (YSA) Member Jess Grimes took the opportunity to thank the Associates Committee for the $1,700 which was raised and donated to the YSA.
“It was a relaxed environment for Members, associates and friends to mix, mingle and socialise off the water.
“For the first time, we were lucky enough to have three generations from the one family in attendance!
“A special thank you to YSA Head Coach, Jordan Reece, and the entertaining models.
“The Associates Committee also thanks the Australian Cruise Group for their support by providing the very generous lucky door prizes, as well as the CYCA for hosting the event.
“We are already looking forward to next year’s Ladies’ Night!”
