The CYCA Board has approved the appointments to the Club’s Board Committees for 2026/27.

The Committees – Sailing, Premises, Member Engagement and Audit, Planning & Risk– are chaired by current CYCA Directors and play an important role in the Club’s governance.  They contribute to the Club’s future by providing strategic oversight, specialist expertise and recommendations to the Board.

The Associates Committee has also been confirmed following their AGM on 20 July.

Commodore David Jacobs has expressed appreciation to those Members who had volunteered their time to join the various committees.

“On behalf of all of our Members I’d like to thank those who have joined our committees for their service to the Club,” Jacobs said.

“We have a strong group of Committee Chairs with Peter Gothard (Sailing), Jules Hall (Premises), Amanda Cook (Member Engagement) and Greg Antipas (Audit Planning & Risk), while Pam Messenger again takes on the role of President of the Associates Committee. 

“Our club was founded on a platform volunteerism and that continues to this day. The dedication and expertise of our volunteers play a vital role in helping shape the future of the CYCA, and I thank them for their commitment.”
