The annual CYCA Spring Series has concluded, and the winners decided across five divisions. 

The four race series allowed competitors to drop one race each for their final series tally. 

In IRC Division 1, Newport 9, Ultime, (Iain Murray & Richard Allanson) was undefeated throughout the four races in the series to take the win from Bullwinkle. 

In a competitive IRC Division 2, Martin Hill’s Defiance won three of the four races to take top spot from Sam Hunt’s Frances and Shane Diethelm’s Sumatra. 

Defiance made it a winning double by also taking out PHS Division 2 with results of seventh, second, second and fourth across the month of racing. Western Morning (Mark Ayto) was second and Silver Lining (Stuart Muirhead), third. 

In PHS Division 1, It Happens (Craig Young & David Chesters) were able to drop a fourth, giving them a one point series victory over Shape (Jonnie Vigar), with Andrew Inwood’s Onward a further point back. 

PHS Division 3 saw 13 yachts take to the water across the series, with Aurora II coming out on top for Marcus Gillezeau on a countback from Yputakiteup (Robyn Drew). Aurora II had results of ninth, first, sixth and second, while Yputakiteup produced a consistent second, fourth, fourth and third.
