CYCA Members have dominated the NSW & ACT Sailing Awards, taking out three major categories, while Life Member John Kirkjian was recognised with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race winner Jiang Lin won the Female Sailor of the Year, while Andy Green took out the Male Sailor of the Year.

The Kairos Racing team, made up of young CYCA stars Cole Tapper, George Richardson, Jack Frewin, Max Brennan, Hamish Vass and Nathan Gulliksen claimed the Team of the Year category.

Kirkjian, who was elected a Life Member of the CYCA in 2014, has served the Club with distinction in numerous officiating roles over many decades.

The winners are now in line for further recognition at the 2026 Australian Sailing Awards and Hall of Fame Inductions Gala Dinner at the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour on Friday 30 October.
