On Thursday night, representatives of the CYCA met with RANSA Board members to discuss the long-term future of development in Rushcutters Bay, the direction of the sport generally and, of course, the impact of the current disruption to our operations.

Commodore Paul Billingham, Vice Commodore Noel Cornish and Interim CEO Justine Kirkjian spent time with RANSA Commodore Dave Giddings, Vice Commodore Les Goodridge and several other RANSA Board members building on the long-standing relationship between the CYCA and our closest neighbour.

There was a great alignment between the thinking of the two clubs and a firm commitment to cooperate in getting boats back out of the water just as soon as possible.

This followed a similar meeting with the Board of the RPAYC at their Pittwater clubhouse the previous Friday and is part of a collaborative program that the major Sydney clubs have embarked upon over the past two years to build greater ties, share ideas and grow the sport.
