CYCA Member Rupert Henry is preparing to compete in the 3,543 nautical mile Route du Rhum, which begins this week.

He will race single-handed on his Lombard Class 40, Eora.

The race was due to start at 1302hrs (local time) on Sunday 6 November, but was postponed due to strong winds and rough seas forecast in the English Channel. It will now begin at 1415hrs local time Wednesday 9 November (0115hrs AEDT Thursday 10 November), with favourable weather forecast for the record fleet of 138 boats.
