Each year the CYCA invites Eden Marine High School to join us for a week of sailing as a thank you to their community for their involvement with the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. 

This year we were joined by 17 students and two teachers who travelled up to Sydney on Monday 30 October for four days of sailing. 

Across all four-days the students enjoyed a range of sailing conditions on the harbour, as they took in all the scenes, with stop-over lunches in Watsons Bay and Rose Bay. The YSA took full advantage of the conditions, with the students out on the Elliotts for as long as possible. The week was a fun mixture of practical and theory sessions, with valuable skills for all participants to take back to Eden.

On Wednesday evening, the students enjoyed an exciting ride onboard Members’ yachts for the Income Asset Management Wednesday Twilight Series.

Finally, we would like to thank all Members who generously provided their yachts as accommodation for the week for the students and teachers.

We look forward to welcoming Eden Marine High back to the Club in 2024.
