Oroton Drumfire, Salt Shaker, Holy Cow and La Vela seal Wednesday Twilight wins

A bumper fleet and good racing conditions set the tone for an action-packed Race 5 of the 2021-22 CYCA Wednesday Twilight Series.

Crews lapped up the 17-23 knots from the north north east, with 64 boats on the start line off Point Piper.

Jim Cooney’s Volvo 70 Willow was quickest around the course, finishing second overall in Division A behind Phillip Neil’s Hoek TC78 Oroton Drumfire. Ian Edwards’ Dehler 46 Wings was third.

There were also wins for Peter Franki’s Sydney 36CR Salt Shaker (Division B), John Clinton’s Beneteau Oceanis 50 Holy Cow (Division C) and Andrea Gambacorti on the Beneteau Oceanis 37 La Vela (Division D).

All divisional placegetters receive a prize pack courtesy of our friends at Brix Distillers.
