Lisa Blair who returned to Rushcutters Bay on Saturday after becoming the first woman to sail solo and unassisted around Antarctica, crossing all tracks south of 45 degrees South.

The incredible feat of skill and endurance took Pacific Sailing School instructor Lisa just over 104 days to complete, during which she suffered a dramatic dismasting. After safely making port in Cape Town, Lisa was able to repair her yacht and complete her world record.

Sailing aboard the boat named Climate Action Now, Lisa returned home to Sydney Harbour on Saturday where she was welcomed by boat owners at the heads. The fleet then sailed together to her journey’s finish point, Rushcutters Bay.
