Reception

The reception team are the first welcome point as members and guests enter the CYCA.

The reception staff are an important component of the club’s focus on customer service. Their duties include answering all incoming calls, taking payments for members accounts and annual subscriptions, promoting membership and receiving nominations as well as selling the club’s wide range of Musto merchandise.

Bookings for the various members’ social functions such as the annual prizegivings are handled by reception. For those interested in learning to sail the team can refer students onto the appropriate sailing school.

Maria Lister - Receptionist

Maria, previously from a retail and commercial background, can assist guests to the club find the perfect piece of merchandise or clothing to take home as a mememto of their visit or can recommend items to wear sailing. She joined the club prior to the Olympics in 2000.

Gerard Azadian and Nick Kojevnikov - Doormenn

Gerard and Nick are the CYCA’s doormen and welcome members and their guests to the club. Between them they speak multiple languages allowing them to communicate with many international guests and provide general information on the club and its facilities as well as the surrounding area.

Gerard and Nick conduct the club’s signing-in process as required by the NSW Registered Clubs Act and help visitors locate their designated areas. They also answer the phone after hours.
